Rep. Ilhan Omar Raises $1.6 Million in Second Quarter
MINNEAPOLIS—Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) released details on her campaign’s 2024 second quarter fundraising, with $1.6 million raised, and over $1.8 million cash on hand.
“Our campaign is ready to turnout voters in the August Primary and continue building momentum to defeat Donald Trump in the November General Election,” said Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. “I’m proud to be running the largest voter turnout operation in the history of the 5th Congressional District. Our campaign has earned the endorsement of 50 elected officials, 10 unions, and more than 20 grassroots organizations. Our campaign is building a multi-racial, multi-generational coalition of voters from all parts of the district — from Richfield to Robbinsdale, across Lake St. and Broadway, from the Northside to the Southside.
“I am incredibly proud of the progress we have made to improve the lives of Minnesotans across our district, including delivering $54 million in community project funding, providing direct support to more than 3,600 constituents, and hosting more than 90 town halls. Together, we will continue our fight to ensure reproductive freedom, combat the climate crisis, guarantee Medicare for All, and — most importantly — defend our democracy from Donald Trump.”
