Rep. Omar Announced 18 More Major Endorsements in CD5
MINNEAPOLIS—Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) today has announced a comprehensive list of local Minnesota endorsements, including city council members from across the 5th District, State Senators, Minneapolis School Board Members, Park Board members and additional Hennepin County Commissioners. Rep. Omar now has the support of a broad coalition of elected officials in the district and grassroots organizations.
“I am deeply humbled by the broad show of support for my reelection campaign across the Fifth District,” Rep. Omar said. “I look forward to continuing to advocate, organize, and legislate alongside them on behalf of our shared constituents. As I continue to fight for full rent and mortgage cancellation and support for our frontline workers during this crisis, their partnership has been paramount. I know fighting for CD5 means fighting for a Green New Deal to address the climate crisis, to guarantee healthcare and housing as human rights, to end the student debt crisis, and to create a more peaceful world. I know if we continue to push, we can create a more prosperous future for all.”
