MEDIA ADVISORY: Rep. Ilhan Omar Announces Endorsements Ahead of Reelection Kickoff: “Send Her Back to Congress!”

MINNEAPOLIS—Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) today announced additional endorsements ahead of the kickoff event for her 2020 reelection campaign, “Send Her Back to Congress!” The endorsements include 11 state representatives from the 5th District, State Senator Patricia Torres Ray, four Minneapolis City Council Members, and Hennepin County Commissioners Angela Conley and Irene Fernando.

“I am honored to have the support of the people who represent my district at all levels of government—city, county, and state,” Rep. Omar said. “Our local elected officials are the backbone of our democracy—and I am proud to serve alongside so many strong progressive representatives in the 5th District. Together, we will continue to fight for the America we deserve.”
